Hi, thanks for the really great article.

Not remembering names is the gravest mistake you'll ever do in doing business networking. Well, the most common goal that we want in networking is to extend and build our network. We do not necessary build the network to sell but to build the network where you can help people and also have people to help you whenever you are in a tight spot. Business networking is not just about the series of events you prepare and attend, it is having the sole goal of meeting people and building relationships with them. This is the way of life of the nurturing networker or the ideal business networker.

Networking is not all about the fancy speeches you make during networking events, it's not about the fliers you give away, and certainly not all about the just the handshakes you make with other people. Networking is about the lunch meetings you set up with the people you meet, the hours long chat with them, it's the showing up in their front door when they are in times of trouble and basically the goal of building a firm relationship with them.

Remember these when you want to build your business network. Never forget always, give them once in a while phone calls or set up lunch meetings with them just to chat.
